Elementor Frontend Developers from India

Elementor is a popular drag and drop website builder from WordPress. Especially Web designers in India use it to build small to medium sized websites. More in this article.

What is a webdesigner?

A webdesigner is traditionally a person who works with frontend tools like HTML, CSS and JavaScript to build web pages.

For the backend, there will be software developers, who work with programming languages like PHP or Java.

They work together to build web applications.

In some cases, a web designer is also considered to be someone who creates the designs in Photoshop or Sketch and then translates them into HTML and CSS.

Frontend programmers are also known to have a deeper knowledge in topics like User Interface Design (UI) or User Experience Design (UX).

But there is a new type of frontend expert coming up. The designer who does not work with programming languages or frameworks, but with Elementor. With this tool the expert, for example from India, can just drag and drop buttons and other elements of the website, wherever it is needed.

Elementor thus simplifies the web development process.

What is WordPress?

WordPress (WP) is a content management system (CMS).

The idea behind a CMS is that we can manage content, like texts, pictures and videos.

WP is especially known as a tool for building a blog. Where we can write articles and publish them.

With time WP was more and more used for building websites. Especially bloggers, freelancers and small companies used it for building their homepages.

Nowadays even medium sized to large corporations are using WordPress to build their branded online pages.

The advantage is, that there are several plugins, which make it easy to build complex websites.

In this case not even a backend developer would be needed.

When is a coder needed?

If it is a simple application, with simple things, like a user administration, SEO tools (for making it easier to be found in search engines like Google), publishing pages. Then a backend coder is not needed.

As mentioned in the previous section of this article, a frontend developer would be enough, who would just click and install the required plugins.

But in some cases, the client or the company wants to have complex web functionality. In this case a WordPress backend coder is needed, who would build custom plugins, for the requirements.

Why India?

Almost all websites are made today in WordPress. And Elementor (ELEM) is one of the most used tools for implementing these pages.

And this is a worldwide phenomenon. Be it in Europe, USA or even Asia. Everywhere these technologies and this specific CMS is used.

Therefore, there is a high demand for WordPress frontend designers and webdesigners.

Especially in India it is possible to find a lot of designers who have already worked with WP.

Most of them might have not worked with page builders like Elementor, as it is seen as something too simple for coders.

It is therefore better to look for candidates who have only a few years of experience in the field of frontend programming, because it will be easier to convince them to work with a drag and drop builder.

The advantage of India is also that it has a lot of web agencies and IT services providers, who bring services in WP to all over the world. And also train new people in these technologies. Therefore there is a good pool of candidates available.

Note: It is not that easy to work with ELEM, even though it is meant to be used by beginners. To be able to work with it well, it needs a few weeks or even months of experience, to really understand the tool.

How to find the right candidates?

It is better not to rely on senior frontend experts, who have more than 5 years of work experience. Because they might not be able or ready to learn a tool like ELEM.

Like mentioned in the section before, it is better to rely on Indian candidates, who have less experience and are willing to learn.

Companies like Software-Developer-India.com can help companies from all over the world to build small one man/ woman teams or even larger teams of WordPress frontend developers and webdesigners.

These candidates will be hired by us, but they will be working exclusively for you and your team.

Alternatives

It could be also interesting to look at other drag and drop user interface builders like Divi or WPBakery.

There are themes available, which make it easier to build interesting looking web pages and homepages.

In some cases Elementor might be the better tool, in some cases Divi or some other page builder might be better.

It could in some cases also be good to look at the Gutenberg page builder, which is available with WP. In that case no external builder plugin is needed. But there are some extensions for Gutenberg, which makes it more useful.

What is the cost?

It is cheaper to hire coders in India.

In countries like the USA, the hourly rate will be around 100 to 150 US Dollar per hour. To hire someone full time in Europe or America, it might cost 4000 to 7000 US Dollar per month. With overhead it could come to around 6000 to 10000 USD.

In South Asia this can be achieved at a fraction at the cost or price.

The other advantages

Other advantages are that the people in India are eager to learn new technologies. And they like to work with foreign clients.

Unlike other countries, English is widely spoken. Also because the education system is in English.

Parents prefer to send their children to English language schools, as it is also regarded higher in the society.

Employers also prefer graduates from English language universities.

Also, webdesigners in India have usually worked with foreign clients or on projects from abroad, and have a basic to good idea on what is expected.

Freelancer vs. Full Time Employee

In some cases it could be interesting to take freelancers who work on an hourly basis.

But a lot of companies have the requirement to hire full time employees. As they have enough work to engage a person for a longer period of time. Here it might be better to take such a person in India. Here the advantage is also, that this person will be able to learn more about the internal process and the work culture of the specific company they are working for. Which might not be the case, in case it is a freelancer.

Plugins and themes

There are also some ELEM plugins and themes which are custom built for this drag and drop builder tool. It can make sense to ask the hired person to also learn about these extensions.
